Als de tand chirurgische toegang vereist om te worden verwijderd, zal uw tandarts waarschijnlijk een chirurgische extractie uitvoeren. Tijdens een chirurgische extractie verdooft uw arts het gebied en gebruikt het handinstrumenten om een pad in het omliggende zachte weefsel te verwijderen om het verwijderen van de tand te vergemakkelijken. Soms omvat dit ook het verwijderen van benige obstakels of het verdelen van de tand in kleinere stukken om de extractie te vergemakkelijken. Nadat de verstandskies is verwijderd, zal uw tandarts het gebied schoonmaken hechten om genezing mogelijk te maken. Terwijl het gebied rondom geneest, kan uw tandarts u in de tussentijd voorzien van een tijdelijke voorziening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Als de beschadigde tand op zijn plaats wordt gelaten, kan dit leiden tot verdere complicaties, zoals infectie of verval onder het tandvlees, wat op langere termijn tot duurdere en uitgebreidere procedures leidt.
