Tissue grafting can be done to address receding gums, restoring the tissue to a more appropriate level and halt the recession process.
This procedure involves taking gum tissue from another area of the mouth and placing it on the area of recession. The area is sutured and given time to heal- your doctor will let you know the time needed. Once completed, tissue grafting returns your gums to a healthy level, protecting the surfaces of the roots and bone.
