Tissue grafting can be done to address receding gums, restore the tissue to a more appropriate level and stop the recession process. This procedure involves taking gum tissue from another part of the mouth and placing it on the recession area. The area is sutured and given time to heal Once completed, tissue grafting returns your gums to a healthy level and protects the surfaces of the roots and bone.
